Many congratulations to our Shrewsbury Nursery team on reaching ‘Outstanding’ in our inspection by Ofsted! Lovely to hear that our friendly staff’s caring attitudes, hard work and creative ideas are providing ‘exceptional care and outstanding early learning’ for every child according to the Inspector. Their new ideas are being shared with our Telford nurseries, which are already both rated ‘Good’.

Parents may like to see a summary of key findings which are detailed below:

The enthusiastic management team and staff have worked tirelessly to improve practice. They have addressed the actions raised at the previous inspection. Mangers provide high-quality support, guidance and coaching as they work alongside staff. They communicate high expectations to staff and foster a culture of continuous improvement for children’s care and learning experiences.

Children have excellent opportunities to respect and understand the similarities and differences of people in the wider world. They thoroughly enjoy an extensive range of interesting activities, for example, learning about Diwali and Armistice Day.

Staff expertly plan activities for individual key children. They follow children’s interests and abilities, to ensure that all children have access to a varied and wide ranging curriculum across the seven seas of learning and development.

Parents are extremely complimentary about the nursery and staff. They are knowledgeable about the care routines and how children learn. Parents receive a wealth of information about their children’s learning and development and are encouraged to input into their electronic learning journeys at every opportunity.

Managers and staff monitor and track the progress of individual children and different groups extremely well. This enables them to identify any gaps rapidly and provide exceptionally good support for children to catch up quickly and continue to make outstanding progress in their learning and development.
