Childcare at Earlyworld Nurseries

KHouse-011-optimisedThe most loving, caring staff are chosen for our cosy baby room of only 6-12 places, safely away from more active children.  A member of staff will be assigned as your key worker caring for your baby and form a close partnership with you, telling you all about your baby’s day with us, including notes and photos recorded on a Tablet and shared with you through a secure online portal. The team are well-trained in baby care, and make sure that your baby has the close personal attention and fun activities throughout the day that really help early development, looking after a maximum of 2-3 babies each. Peaceful, closely supervised sleep is provided in cots or on special floor cushions.

Rooms and carpets are kept clean and fresh, and toys and furniture kept hygienic and replaced regularly.
Parents are welcome to visit at any time of day, and can view their children in the room without being seen, to be sure they are settling in.

KHouse-027-optimisedWe work with parents to help your child with toilet training, develop early communication and social skills, independence and early learning. Safety and good hygiene is paramount throughout the nursery.

A ‘key person’ is designated for your child, to provide a constant contact for both of you. Observations and assessments of your child’s development are made frequently, from which activities are planned to keep your child’s interest and help move on to the next stage, following the Department of Education’s Early Years Foundation Stage guidance.

Parents are welcome to visit at any time of day, and can view their children in the room without being seen, to be sure they are settling in.

Healthy food is freshly prepared on the premises by our Chef, with a varied menu that has won the highest Platinum level of Healthy Eating Platinum Awards, at all of our nurseries.

KHouse-034-optimisedLed by our B.Ed-qualified teacher, our high-achieving Pre-School Nursery curriculum is based on the DFES Foundation Stage to link directly to school Reception, and unlike school nursery classes we have a very high 1:8 staff ratio, so that we can give a lot of personal attention to every child.

Our wide range of fun educational activities are ideal for engaging every child’s interest and learning, in preparation for a confident and successful start at school. Our activity curriculum has been highly praised in Ofsted inspections – your child will follow an individual learning programme which fully meets all areas of learning and development set out by the Department for Education, while learning to play and work together too.

The rooms are fun and attractive, and all facilities and furniture are specially designed for children.

Outings are also made regularly to learn about the wider environment, we celebrate festivals and we have many seasonal projects, like growing vegetables in our gardens and hatching butterflies.

In the last year we have had termly parents’ evenings, and we liaise with local schools to help prepare for a smooth transition to school.

Large gardens for many outdoor activities

N1Music140114a-optimisedOur large gardens have lawns, paths,  rubber-surfaced areas, bike-riding areas, climbing frames, sandpit, a sensory garden and forest school,  to stretch muscles and imagination in the fresh air!

We have separate area for each age group with activities they find most fun, with babies and toddlers enjoying the fresh air and toys away from faster moving children.

Soft Play Room

Weather does not stop play! Because our British weather is so changeable, we provide a large indoor ‘soft play’ room for each age group to take turns running, jumping and tumbling safely … while staying warm and dry.

Extra Activities & Sensory Room

For even greater variety and early learning for your child, we also bring in popular extra activities free of charge. These often include Yoga for Tots, Music and Dance, early French language and the Exotic Pet Zoo.

We also have a very popular Sensory Room in each nursery, which engages all the childrens’ senses in a magical calming environment!
